• AFFIRMATIONS

Affirmations give you the power to be whoever you want to be as they help you align who you think you are with your actions. You are able to make the best decisions when you know who you are (e.g. I am a trustworthy person therefore my actions should align with who I say I am). Our own thoughts should be the base of our identity; so affirmations help us build a solid foundation tobetter interactions due to improved self esteem. Affirmations also give you the power to not only challenge negative thoughts but to also replace them with factual positive thoughts, accessing a new belief system. Above all, affirmations can reaffirm the positivity back into your life.

  • GRATITUDE

According to Harvard Studies; gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. Regularly practicing gratitude by taking time to notice, reflect and write about the things you are thankful for help you experience more optimism about life. Surprisingly, research shows people who “gratitude journal” also exercise more and have fewer visits to physicians than those who focused on sources of aggravation. You experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion & kindness, and even have a stronger immune system. Simply by using this journal, regularly writing brief reflections on moments for which you are thankful for, can significantly increase your well‑being and life satisfaction.

  • GOALS

Writing down your goals help to clarify exactly what you want to achieve. This allows for alignment in what you would like to achieve and the actions you need to take to achieve it. Keeping a daily task list helps guide your daily actions towards the goal's achievement. Written down goals are more powerful than goals you keep in your mind, as studies show you are 42% more likely to complete a task by simply writing it down. This may seem like a shock but it’s actually simple science. We have 1,000’s of ideas and thoughts each day that are like clouds in the sky, coming and going. It’s not until we are intentional that the idea or thought can become a reality. The easiest and quickest way to turn an idea into reality is by writing it down. Just writing it down turns this cloud like thing that has no shape or weight into something that you can actually see and touch (even if it’s just touching words on a paper for now).

  • INTENTION

Intentionality helps you understand the importance and purpose of your bigger vision and directs your mind and actions to help you be the best YOU. An intentional focus gives you greater clarity around what you want and takes the guesswork out of where to invest your time and focus. Journaling hones and increases this clarity and focus as action steps are already being took when you put the “pen to the sheets”. Journaling also sharpens that focus as you are able to hone in on what actions or steps that are beneficial and which ones are not. This increases confidence as clear direction breeds success in most situations. Being intentional also helps with doubt/negative thoughts; as being intentional is both a mind set and a daily action. Intentionality lives in everything we represent and do. Journaling allows you to use this focus in specific areas of your life.
